SDG Patrons

The Committee would like to welcome our first Patrons Ms Kiruna Stamell and Mr Warwick Davis.  It is hoped their celebrity status will help raise the profile of the group and public awareness.

Members may recognise Kiruna, an Australian actress who has starred in Eastenders, All Small Things, The Best Offer and many stage shows.  Kiruna was born in Sydney, Australia at the Royal Women’s Hospital and diagnosed with acromesomelic dysplasia.  More information can be found on Kiruna’s official website http://www.kirunastamell.net.

English actor Warwick Davis was born in Epsom, Surrey, England  and was educated at City of London Freemen's School.   Warwick was born with the condition spondyloepiphyseal dysplasia congenital (SEDC).   Warwick has appeared in Star Wars: Episode VI – Return of the Jedi, The Ewok  Adventure, Ewoks The Battle for Endor, Willow, Harry Potter and the sitcom Extras amongst other things.  Along with his father-in-law Peter Burroughs, he is the director of an acting agency for very short and tall actors called Willow Management.  He is married to Samantha Davis and they have a son and a daughter.  More information can be found on Warwick’s official website http://www.warwickdavis.co.uk
